Mount Thamserku, 6608m in eastern Nepal. The first documented ascent of the mountain was made in 1964 by members of Edmund Hillary’s Schoolhouse Expedition. The team climbed up the southeast side and the ascent was described as difficult and advanced, and the route has not been repeated in its entirety by any other expedition. In 2014, the Russian climbers Alexander Gukov and Alexey Lonchinskiy made the first ascent via the southwest side. In Nepal there are 1310 peaks over 5.5000 m, so there are some to choose from!
